The story of a style, told backwards in four chapters. · 73 works, 2023–2026

A path back through the collection, in four chapters. It starts with the newest and largest canvases and walks back through the living surfaces of 2025 and 2026 to the serpents, spines and quick colour studies where the style began.

Chapter I · 2026

The largest

The story starts at the end: the biggest canvases so far. Smoky stone, glowing forms and black thorned veins gather everything that came before.

Chapter II · 2026

More room to breathe

With more space the paintings slowed down: flame-like leaves, softer grounds, thorned growth and an eye looking back.

Chapter III · 2025–2026

Living Surfaces

One step back, the ground itself comes alive. Smoke-grey surfaces crack, fur and bleed, with black veins running through them, and bodies, horns and figures rise out of the paint.

Chapter IV · 2023–2025

Where it began

Further back are the roots: serpents and currents, spines and vortices, and the first quick colour studies on paper and panel where these shapes first appeared.

50 × 60 cm

Acrylic on canvas, 2025–2026 · 41 works

Smoke-grey grounds, cracked by black fissures and ink bursts. Surfaces that feel weathered, burnt and wounded.

Twisting bodies and flowing contours. Serpents, eyes and currents wind through the paint, and they do not always make peace.
